Message from an Alumnus

Respected Professors, faculty members, Alumni, Current Students, & the whole Psychology Family,

Warm greetings to all.

As a former student who had the privilege of studying in the Central Department of Psychology nearly twenty-five-years ago, I continue to feel a deep sense of connection and gratitude toward this esteemed central department.

 Psychology has not only provided us with knowledge but has also taught us empathy, skills, attitude, understanding, critical thinking, and a commitment to human well-being. Today's world has changed very rapidly with artificial intelligence and bringing new opportunities and challenges.

Though, the core mission of psychology remains the same; like, to understand human behavior and contribute to healthier life, more meaningful lives and communities, to maintaining workplace harmony through work-setting counseling, individual happiness and peace through individual counseling and psychotherapies.

As Alumni of central department psychology family, we share a common responsibility to enhance knowledge, promote mental health, encourage research, search new avenue and serve society with professionalism and compassion through collaboration, cooperation, mentorship, and the exchange of ideas, continue to strengthen the impact of psychology in Nepal and globe.

Let us remain united in our commitment to lifelong learning, ethical practices, and the promotion of human welfare. Together, we can honor the proud legacy of our central department while building an even brighter future for the upcoming generations.
